FAQs

What is uPVC casing pipe used for?

uPVC casing pipe is used for borewell drilling and tube well casing. It prevents soil collapse and ensures clean water flow. Duke’s casing pipes are IS 12818 certified and available in 7 series — CD, CM, CS, RMS, RDS, PMS, PDS.

Both are the same product. “Boring pipe” is the common field term, “casing pipe” is the technical IS standard term. Duke manufactures IS 12818 certified uPVC pipes for both boring and casing applications.

Duke uPVC casing pipe is manufactured as per IS 12818:2010 — equivalent to German standard DIN 4925. Trapezoidal threaded ends ensure strong jointing and horizontal slots ensure maximum water yield.

uPVC casing pipes are corrosion-free, non-metallic, and chemically inert — ideal for saline and sandy water conditions. Steel pipes rust over time, reducing water quality. uPVC is lighter, easier to install, and more economical.
